Lindsay Lamar  flag

WHAT an amazing bundle of talent this theater gal from Alaska is! When she sings in her deliciously nasal-sounding soprano, she makes the consonants sound so much softer than the vowels. When she plays her violin, she sways like a spindly, graceful Eastern bamboo. And when she acts on stage, she dares. It's all about an innate sense of order—knowing what to do and how to do it—and she brings it to musical life, beautifying the world around her.

Listen to “Siyahambe” using Windows Media® Player.

Track is a traditional Zulu folk song that Lindsay and I performed in Jerusalem, Israel, March 2003, with Sharon Marnell, Sima Rowshan, André Ross, and seven other members of the Bahá'í World Centre Choir.

Running time 3:32 min.
