“The earth is one native land, one home;
and all mankind are the children of one Father.”

We all like to ramble. It leaves us alone with ourselves, even if we are not by ourselves. It gives us plenty of time to listen to our thoughts and nourish our feelings. And as we immerse ourselves in social interactions, we realize how much we share in common with others, no matter how strange the land.
These pages are devoted to the travels that I have made. Beyond the stunning vistas, the noisy streets, the savory food, the fragrant aromas—beyond the astonishing diversity of human endeavor in all these place, the true joys of traveling come from the celebration of the unifying ties that bind us all, wherever we are. |
